Herpin and Derpin

Well, things have been going pretty goooood. Have gotten lotsa things, done lotsa things, and seen lotsa things.

First things first, a recount of our adventures in Abyssea. As you know we are on a quest for grape gloves and grape shoes. Our hunt for grape shoes meets us stalking the elusive Brooder. This guy is pretty stingy on his boots. Doesn't ever want to put out, and I can understand. Some people I know are the same. (Not naming any names :b) Well on one fight we managed to trigger the !! with a Dancing Edge. Low and behold, the monster relinquished his footwear and I obtained a pair of Serpentes Sabots! After a couple more kills we got another !! off of Savage Blade, and Senseireborn obtained his pair.

Also there has been more Abyssea action. On Tuesday we fought Cuelebre the fearsome dragons of rocks and pebbles. It was an interesting fight. I had never brought any more than 7 and we had 18! It went pretty smoothly up until the part where some certain RNG pulled hate and nearly wiped the alliance. But other than that it went pretty smoothly.

That kill netted us with. . . an Auric Dagger! I was pretty nervous because I knew a lot of people were wanting it, so I closed my eyes and cast my lot. I won! Now I have this pretty nifty dagger to poke things on my Dancer!

Unfortunately, the next time we tried to claim him, a stupid RDM was trying to solo the damn thing. Yeah, he died. So we claimed it two more times but alas there were no more daggers to be had. Don't worry Oroka we'll get you one!

Also Senseireborn, Oroka, and I finished Whither the Whisker and obtained another Abyssite of Celerity and can now obtain stones every 12 hours!!

Nyzul has been moving on at a steady pace. Though I finding less and less reason to do it. I really want to start either working on Captain Rank and doing Salvage or something else entirely. And that's pretty much all that has to be said about that.

Dynamis has been pretty much the same old same old. Getting lots of new members, lets see who I can remember off the top of my head. Khira, Beastrider, Mystickitten, Sirsoran. All welcome additions to our team.

Had a Tornado Warning in out city the other day, was kinda freaky. Funny thing was we were having a garage sale too. I guess the powers that be didn't want to freakin garage sales. I manage to make 20 dollars. Which is ok I guess. Was hoping to sell my Guitar Hero: World Tour set and make some moolah, but it didn't :<.

Adventures in Abyssea

Woowee, sorry for the picture dump. Been doing alot lately. Lots of Abyssea. Getting everyone Serpentes Cuffs, and Serpentes Sabots. Gotten 3 sets of gloves now, making Shawn, Arlenz, and Me so far with the gloves. Have killed Brooder about 8 times, no boots yet :<. Gotten most of my jobs to 85, still need to work on COR, and I'm debating whether or not to take BLM past 75. Not doing good on gil and those spells are expensive ><.

In other news, SHAWN GOT HIS RDM hat. Congratulations man, well deserved.

Also Halo: Reach has come out, very solid game. Really enjoying it. Probably the best (of course) Halo game. Took alot of stuff and polished it to a blinding shine. Campaign was a tad short, but really well done. Liked the ending, but, I WANT TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH MASTER CHIEF. Get to work on that Bungie :b.

Lulz and Lolz and even a few rofls

Greetings and salutations, not much has been going on lately. Still playing FFXI. Joined a new LS that looks promising. Its still new and hasn't fully gotten off the ground yet though, but I look forward to working in it to get lots of new loot. Been doing the same ol' same ol' though. Talking to Shawn, Ty, Jason, Antzy, Arlenz, Doreen, Paud, and Ev still. Been leveling, laughing and all that good stuff.

Oh, funny story. So I had leveled my SCH to level 15 with Shawn and them in the dunes right? Well last night I was like "Well damn, I need to be level 12 to do a summoner burn". So I hop out to Valkurm Dunes, set my homepoint there and proceed to die a bazillion times on SCH until I was level 12. Then I put my party flag on and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Just when I was about to give up, I finally got an invite. But, fortune as it turned out, would not be on my side. So I get there... the PLD is sitting there holding all the mobs already. I run up, they put sync on... and proceed to die. At this point my thought were "Yeah this isn't going to work, maybe I should leave". Oh how I regret not doing so. But unfortunately on of them was like: "Hey Allyie, your name sound familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?"

At that point, I felt kinda obligated to stay. Yeah, yeah, I know, "But Ryan you so frequently abuse force D/C, why not just D/C from this group?" Well sometimes I just like to be a nice guy, ya know? Anyway, after a successful Wild Card from me, we head out again for attempt #2. So after several hours of drunken ramblings (Yes I somehow found myself in their skype call) we finally start and... they mess it all up. I left that place as a level 16, boy that was sure worth it.

Also have been keeping up at the Abyssea Notorious Monster hunts. Got Arlenz his pillaging helm this morning, which makes the 3rd helm we've gotten for people. Its really nice to be able to just run in there with a small group and get awesome things for people. Anyway thats all for today. Enjoy these silly screenshots.

So yeah I got WHM to 75, now to get it fully merited and to 80. Now since I have nothing else worth blogging.

Abyssea and Trial of the Magians.

So yeah, the newest expansion of Final Fantasy XI, Visions of Abyssea has launched and I must say that it is AWESOME. Not just awesome but JAWESOME. 50-60k/hr parties, awesome NM's and drops. Probably THE best expansion for FFXI in a long time. Anyway, I've been leveling my jobs to 80, except BLM. I've also started leveling WHM. I went in as a level 45 WHM to open chests for the group and ended up getting level 65 in about 5 hours.

Also there are tons of NM's to fight inside Abyssea. One of the ones we fought was a tiny Mandragora NM Cacagaunah or w/e. Drops a pretty sweet ammo piece called the Thew Bomblet STR+2 Attack +8 for my MNK SAM and DNC. Also we're going to be going after another NM tonight called Cuelebre. Drops the Auric Dagger, Enhanced "Dual Wield" for DNC, pretty sick.

Anyway been starting to do Limbus with peeps from my LS. Its been going well, working on an Ultima and an Omega chipset and so on.

Changes, Changes Everywhere!

Why hello there! Been quite some time since I laid down a smooth track of words, ideas, and general musings.

Life and FFXI have been all over the place. I guess the best place to start would be a recap of events. Bare with me if some of this has already been said and if it seems like too much ranting.

1. Don't know if it has been said before but around March I left my job at Target. No two weeks notice (which I am apparently notorious for doing) just stopped showing up. Of course my parents chewed my ass out for it and over the next couple of weeks the usual phrase was, "Where have you applied at today Ryan?" Now I was only unemployed for about a month and a half roughly. Funny thing was my friend Jason had recently quit Olive Garden, and my other friend Ty (Atlanray) was fired from his job at Wal-mart.So we were basically chilling playing Final Fantasy all day. As fun as it was I really needed to get a job (mainly to support my crack habit). Ty eventually found a job at the local Lowe's hardware store, and Jason got hired to work at the local call-center Sitel.
2. Which brings me to point number 2. After many applications and no call backs, I was starting to lose hope. Eventually, thanks to the help of my mom's co-workers boyfriend, I got an interview at a local business called ElectricRider. After talking to the owner I started a position the following Wednesday.
3. So I started working there, assembling electric bike kits (or E-bikes hurr durr) and doing other *cough* morally gray *cough* activities. I seemed to be getting along quite well there, until I learned more about a cunt ass bitch named Angela. She was quite the piece of work, like a traffic accident you try to view from afar but don't want to get to close to lest you see something nasty. Now I normally don't try to judge people immediately but I could tell just from talking to her that she was someone that you just don't like. Unfortunately sometimes I would have to sit next to her for hours at a time when I was doing my work. Inevitably this led to idle conversation. She told me about her alcoholic daughter and her hopes of becoming a pharmacist. She told me how she had hyperthyroidism or whatever the fuck that made her feel really cold all the time. Yeah right bitch it was probably the fact that you're a cold blooded SNAKE. She told me how she used to be and I'm not shitting: a prison guard, a waiter, a construction worker, a rancher, a stripper, a spy, a cat, a city worker, a tornado inspector, a Kit-Kat, yadda yadda yadda. Ok maybe I'm exaggerating just a LITTLE bit, honestly I hardly paid attention to the whore. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but this brings me to #4... Why the fuck did I number these to begin with?
4. Angela is one of the reasons I lost that job. Yes I lost that job. Yes I had only worked there for a month and a half. Yes I mad. Yes I did something for revenge. Yes I drank the last beer. Anyway, I knew something was up with Angela when after work I was talking to my mother. She said that Mike (my boss) was told by Angela that she asked me to do something and THAT I FLAT OUT SAID NO. Now I'm not the kind of guy to do that, especially only a couple of weeks into a new job. Why the fuck would I do that. If ANYONE had asked me to jump I would have just said "How high?" So obviously I knew she was a lying bitch and was trying to get me in trouble. So being the new guy and her working there longer, she was naturally given more credibility. This unfortunately went on longer, and last week I was told I was being let go. I just nodded, said it was a pleasure and left. But in the back of my head I was going "oh theses fuckers are going to paaaaay."
5. So my means of LEGAL revenge? Remember that "morally gray" work I did there? It was packing of K2, a synthetic form of THC or marijuana. Well I just happened to know that our local police force was actively looking for places in town where it was packaged. I also just happened to find myself at the online form for anonymous tips to police. While it technically is still legal, I knew it would be bad for their business at least to have the cops show up. I also just happened to write letters to my state congress outlining reason for K2 banning in Texas. And since I know that K2 accounts for about 60% of their daily business, I knew that they would be hurting. Maybe not now, but later, and thats all I need.
